Lake Huron Resort
*As you may know, a more detailed list of essential business classifications has been released from the Government of Ontario, and seasonal campgrounds have been deemed as non-essential. What that means is that by 11:59 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2020, businesses that are not identified on this list must close their physical locations.
*Due to the unprecedented current event of the Covid-19, it is required that all Sesaonal Campers and Daily Campers before entering the park have a signed Waiver Release Form on file. Please Go To The COVID-19 Waiver Page of this site and download, sign and return to us before May 1st, 2020 by email.
*Scheduled Park Open is May 1st (this date can and may change without notice) with limitations as per stated below. All Rv units onsite must be fully contained with washrooms in full working order as our public washrooms will be closed; therefore tent trailers and pop up trailers will not be able to camp with us.
*First and foremost, we at Lake Huron Resort hope that you, your family and friends are healthy and safe during this scary time. None of us could have imagined the unprecedented events that have unfolded in recent months, weeks and days. What we are witnessing with the coronavirus pandemic is extraordinary and requires an extraordinary response. The past few weeks have been a difficult time for everyone including the Campground Industry.
Today, the COVID-19 situation is expanding and affecting more services and disrupting more lives, reaching the uppermost levels of the global economy and other business sectors. We've all been put in a tough situation and at times like these, we must lean into our core values as it is during times of hardship and adversity from which we define ourselves.
From that, our commitment and our priority has always been and will continue to be with our Seasonal Campers, Campers and Employees.
At this point the plan (which can and may change without notice) is to open the park as per schedule, May 1st, 2020.
In that being said, there may be facilities within the park that will remain closed and off limits. These include all common areas such as the store, Kids Club, all indoor/outdoor activities, pool, the beach, playground, Rec hall, laundry room and washrooms. We will not be showing any units that are for sale until advised by the Government. We will be following up via email as more information is passed along as we are closely monitoring the developments of this fluid situation and following Governmental Guidelines, Camping in Ontario and our Regulatory Authorities to take action, such as policies that protect our Customers and Employees.
We understand you may have a lot of questions and concerns. However, one thing is clear there is no need to panic, health and safety is the number one concern right now.
*Please Stay Home, Practice Social Distancing and use Common Sense.
